In this course, you will discover how to exercise your prophetic voice in service to your communities and the most vulnerable among us. Rooted in biblical foundations for advocacy and public witness, the course will explore how to organize for justice, speak truth to power, and protest faithfully. Through practical tools and theological reflection, you will gain the courage and skills to stand out and speak up for what matters most.

Rev. Dr. Ronald Bonner, Sr.

Rev. Dr. Ronald Bonner, Sr. serves in pastoral ministry with a focus on Community Engagement and Diversity and Justice Ministries. In his first call to Ordained Ministry in 1996, he served as the Assistant to the President of the United Church of Christ for Affirmative Action and Equal Employment Opportunity, and since then has served in a variety of roles, including Associate Pastor at the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer in Midtown Atlanta, Assistant to the Bishop of the Southeastern Synod of the ELCA, Pastor of the Lutheran Church of the Atonement, and Manager for Multicultural Resources at Augsburg Fortress Publishers. His early career included executive roles at AT&T and IBM. Rev. Dr. Bonner is the author of No Bigotry Allowed, a guide for those pursuing anti-racist practice, and The Seat, a short story exploring internalized confusion and police misconduct.
